Dear All,wath is the difference from LN 8.5 Client start link on desktop icon (notes.exe) and start manually from C:\Programs\lotus\Notes8\nlnotes.exe ?
in the first case notes.exe not start the 8.5 Client.
in the other case nlnotes.exe start 8.5 Client VERY GOOD.

That happens when Eclipse is corrupt, reinstall Notes Using “Change program” (do NOT select repair).
Or install 8.5.1 and it wont happen again.

Tibord, i used your method by choose Next on the installation program, without changing any parameters on the Modify installation windows. the problem still remain. The LN 8.5 client notes.exe not start. the nlnotes.exe start correctly.
i need to choose Modify installation and change some parameters ? i have read the parameters and i wish to add/install Composite Applications Editor.
You think i neeed to Modify also other parameters for Client,Designer and Administrator ?

I think you should just install 8.5.1
