nHttp causes domino crashes

Hi all,i’m the administrator of the Domino services in an italian enterprise.

I’m talking about a Domino Cluster (w\out ICM).

Some days ago we migrated our Domino 7.0.1 (w\ italian language pack) to 7.0.2 (w\out lang pack because is not available at the moment).

Our user can access both nodes via Notes client and only the first node via DWA.

Since we migrated to 7.0.2, the 1st node has 2 or more crashes everyday (it seems that the nHttp is the problem).

I opened a service call to IBM…but no succes for the moment.

Some one can help or have any idea about ?

Here u can see a little part of the NSD generated by the server

Thanks

You don’t have any other stacks under the FATAL THREAD?

The only thing related:

Hi JY Riverin, thanks for the answer.

But in your link the problem seems to be the nSmtp task.

In my case the problem is nHttp… :frowning:

Subject: nHttp causes domino crashes

I am getting the same crash in nhttp. I have been getting this since we upgraded our server from 6.53 to version 7.02. The server that is crashing has all iNotes DWA users on it.

All users mail files are based off of the iNotes6 template, which was updated with the upgrade from 6.53 to 6.56.

Are you noticing any errors in your Notes log.nsf? I am seeing a lot of “entry not found in index” errors pointing to something in the person’s Drafts folder. Also a lot of “Document has been deleted” errors in mailboxes.

I jsut wanted to see if our issues were similair before entering a call with IBM support. Hope they can find an answer for us both!

Subject: Similar problems on the Linux version of 7.0.2

Domino 7.0.2 on SuSE Linux 9 and 10 crashes when a user accesses the mail file, and the mail files uses the iNotes5 or iNotes6 template.

This may be connected with the use of Directory Assistance, with two or more address books, each with more than approx. 50 names per book. The crash occurs when a user opens the address dialog and selects names to be presented in the From field.

I reported this issue to IBM a few days ago, but did’nt send along any logs, since the problem is so easy to reproduce in a test environment.

Subject: RE: Similar problems on the Linux version of 7.0.2

I submitted a PMR with IBM and had them look at my NSD files. They say the issue is because the template for the mail files has not been updated, and sent us a Hotfix. I am hoping this hotfix alleviates our problems!

Hello

Do You have anymore on this.

Hotfix number, any description on what to do with the current templates?

Subject: RE: Similar problems on the Linux version of 7.0.2

I’ve got the same issue after upgrading 7.0.2. Can you give the Hotfix number? We are running R6.5.4 templates until the client upgrade to R7.0.2. I did replace the inotes files as was stated in the IBM support document.

Subject: RE: Similar problems on the Linux version of 7.0.2

Sorry, my forum interest never e-mailed me on these responses. HF99 was what they supplied me with, and I have not had a crash on my server since. However, I still see a lot of errors in log.nsf, and IBM is still looking into those as a separate issue- even though they appeared at the same time…

Hope this helps you out!

I’ve got a different one from them, which is running at my customer at the moment. They haven’t called me about a crash.
