Newly installed; trying to utilize archived data?

I have data (mail, addresses, etc.) from previously using Lotus Notes 6.5 from an ex-employer that I’d like to access. So I installed Lotus Notes 6.5 on my PC. How do I get the data into the PC version? I don’t need to be able to connect to internet, just use old info.

I’ve tried going into File - Database - Open & specify but I sometimes get a Local Access Protestion/Not Authorized to access locally error.

The databases giving you that error were locally encrypted and can only be opened with the ID that created them.
