Hi guys,
referring to following post:
Server mail rule to forward only if recipient in Dom Dir?
let me describe my situation:
we want all internet mails for our domain to be received and no mail to be denied (e.g. misspelling or something like that). Additionally we want the mail which could not be delived because of an unknown recipient directly sent to our reception mailin-database to be distributed “by hand”. Now i have an additional R5 server which serves as a “local internet domain smart host” for this mail. On this server i am starting an agent in the mail.box which sends the mails back to the reception database.
Now my proposal for a new server mail rule in ND6:
Condition something like that:
“any recipient” “not contained in dom directory”
Action:
“move to database”
If i had this rule i wouldn´t need to use the workaround with another server.
How do you guys think about this new server mail rule: useful or not useful?
IBM: are there any plans to realize this?
best regards
Markus
