We are using Notes Client 6.5.1. One of our user having vision problem. He cannot differentiate in-between black and red color. On the notes client, unread new mails shows as red color and the user cannot notice that he received new mail. Is there anyway, can I change the font size and make it bold for the new mails which he receives, so that he can notice the mails by seeing the size and the font.
Will appreciate your response.

Doesn’t a star show up left of the emails? And after you read them, that star dissapears? Wouldn’t that be enough?

But that, of course, would mean that you have modified the design of a mailfile, and will either be required to support his mailfile design separately from all other users’ OR change the template for everyone and make it an enterprise-wide enhancement.
(I am also colorblind for red; I feel the user’s pain.)

Open the mail file in Designer.
Open the Inbox folder and select its properties - go to the Style Tab (4th one).
You can change the color of the unread marks there.

Actually, we are using 6.5.2 and our unread emails are in BLUE. I don’t believe our designers monkeyed with the template and I assumed it was Lotus themselves who changed the unread color to something more universally visible – I have a brother who is so colorblind that blue is the only color he can reliably identify. We actually had a few users who noticed and complained, having gotten used to the red default after almost a decade on Notes 4x. They adapted…
