New folder creation after name change causes inbox to open very slowly

Here is my problem.

I know that after a name change is performed on a particular user, that person will experience slow access to his/her mail database until such items as forms, view, agents, etc., are updated with the new user name.

My dilemma is this:

I had misspelled a new user’s name when I was registering it in the Domino Administrator. I went back and corrected it, all done before the new user started working for us.

His mail file will open just fine until he creates a new folder. The inbox will take forever to open after he creates the folder.

This is a new mail database with no folders created prior to the new folder.

Any ideas as to why this happens?

Yes, there’s something different with name changes and such in D6. The quickest solution is to sign the mail database with the home server’s ID using the admin process, then have the user open the database after it’s signed. They may get a warning about trusting the server to do such-and-such, and it may open slowly then, too, but should be pretty quick after that.
