New Cluster & Removal of Old Server

All,I have a question regarding Domino clusters. I have built them in other locations; however, the primary server of the cluster was already in place.

My current scenario is a little different, and would like some advice. I currently have a single server responsible for a location and has an old server name that we no longer want to use any longer. My plan is to build a new cluster with 2 new servers, and include this old server to get all the databases replicated over from the old server. I then want to remove the old server from service.

I have both applications as well as mail databases on this server that will be brought into the cluster. My question, all the clients currently look to the old server to connect to databases as well as their mail. If I turn off the old server, will their bookmark.nsf go to the new cluster server? What about links to other non-mail notes databases?

I am planning to do the Create replicas from the files tab, but I am thinking that this will not update the person document for home mail server. Do I have to do the “Move To Another Server” for the mail users.

Thanks for any advice someone can recommend. I have searched around on removing a server from service after migrating data into the cluster, but I am not finding much documentation in this area.

Thanks

David
