New Additional Domain - won't accept inbound mail

I have many domains being hosted on my Domino server. All of them accept mail inbound. I added a new one recently, and it wont allow the mail onto the server for it. I think I did all the same things I have done for all the other domains… what am I missing?

  • I added the domain name in the Global domain doc on both the Restrictions and Conversions tabs. (firstthoughtprinting.com)

  • I added the internet address (info@firstthoughtprinting.com) to the Config document (I have a section where I only allow specified addresses onto the server)

For MAIL ONLY that is all you should need, but…

  • I added an Internet Site document like all the others under Web

Has it been so long that I have forgotten something else? It’s telling me at the console it’s rejecting it for policy reasons… that usually means I forgot to put it in the Config Doc…

  • IS there a size limit on the Config doc???

  • Can I make groups work in there instead of explicit names?

HELP!!!

Subject: New Additional Domain - won’t accept inbound mail

If your being rejected for policy reasons, have you looked at your configuration doc Router/SMTP > Restrictions and Controls > to see if you have anything that would block it there?

Is there a size limit on the Cofig doc I might be hitting? It has corrupted twice in the past 2 weeks… I had to replace it from a backup. (that happened AFTER I had first tried to add this new domain)

I hate taking the server down. Maybe i will Sunday nite.

Hey Ruth,

You don’t have to take the server down. Read the admin help for those functions. You should be able to do something like this at the console?

Load updall database.nsf

load fixup database.nsf

load compact -B database.nsf

You generally can… I’ve done that many times, however to do the main address book, it’d be best to take it down to do it… so it won’t be open at the time.
