New Accounts Registered with Advisory Email Included

Hi,Just wondering how (assuming you can) when registering new Notes accounts can you “prefurnish” the account with an advisory email in its Inbox. Obviously without actually sending the email to each account after setup.

When setting up an account, I assume Notes copies an original NSF file? If I was to put/send an email to this original NSF file would this work?

And if so… where is this NSF file stored (what is it called etc)?

Thanking all feedback in advance… Much appreciated

There are 2 ways that come to mind.

  1. create an agent

  2. edit the mail template.

when a user opens a mail database for the first time, the About this Database (or is it Using this Database) page opens. You can edit this from the mail template and put in your advisory information. this way, you wont have to email the new user.

Hi Eamonn,

Try this: Create your advisory e-mail and send it to yourself, or get someone else to send it to you. Copy this e-mail from your Inbox, and paste it into the Inbox of the mail template on your server - usually called mail6.ntf.

I believe that when you create a database from a template (which is what happens when you register a new user) any documents contained within the template are added to the newly created database.
