Network Session Table is full

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this issue for reasons that will become obvious.

I have a small number of users in the IT department here on Lotus Notes 8.5.1, however we are on Lotus Domino 7.0.2.

Just one user is experiencing the following error message every afternoon, since I upgraded us all from Lotus Notes 8.5.

“Network Session Table is full. Increase maximum number of sessions with MAX_NETWORK_SESSIONS Notes.INI: MCBR-LND1/Servers/Emea/CBI mail.box”

On looking in the Server → Status → Database Users with the Lotus Domino Administrator, I can see that this user has multiple session open of his mail file – it would seem that a new session is being opened every 1 minute as they are all incrementally idled.

The fact that this is only effecting this one person would suggest that the issue is client based and so I don’t think I need to create this new ini line on the server.

Any ideas?

We seem to have the same problem. Server is R7.03FP1, users recently upgraded to R8.5.1But we have the problem only with 2 users , the other 5 user with R8.5.1 run fine.

Possibly an issue with replication, although I couldn’t pinpoint it - problem went away with a clean install in the end.

Subject: reason for problem

it seems that the problem comes from:Verizon lotus notes plugin for audio/web conferencing. Once you decativate that plugin (and restart Notes) the behavior of the client is back to normal.
