I have an issue with our ‘All Staff’ group. This group contains several nested groups.
When certain users send and email to the ‘All Staff’ group, the email is only delivered to names listed in the ‘All Staff’ group and not to any names listed in the nested groups.
Other users have tested this and the email is delivered to all the relevant users.
The users involved seem to be using different versions of Notes from 6.5 to 8.0.1.
Anyone have any ideas?
Subject: Nested group problem
Some of your users most likely have a group created in their Personal Address Book that references a group from another address book. These groups will likely have the same name as well. This will create a circular reference, making Lotus think that there are multiple nestings of the group. Just delete the group in the personal book, and ensure that they are using the original group.

Some of the nested groups had reader security applied which I was unaware of.
