Need to change alias in notes

I have a client that wants to change there current alias from ex: @gbbf to @gbb. Is this possible without alot of time consumption?

This is in response to all users having gbbf in their email alias, and now they’re inquiring about looking to have just gbb and drop the gbbf.

If I understand this correctly, you have users that have user1@gbbf.com as an alias. If you are accepting mail for gbb.com. then I would ADD user1@gbb.com to User 1’s Person Document. That will cover you in the event someone, somewhere decides to send mail to that address.

This is all done in the Short name field of the Person Document.

This is important. The ‘Internet Address’ field is NOT multi-value.

Isn’t it “funny” how many times you see a multi-value in that field?

sigh

I think an appropriate field level help entry would fix that.
