The best to learn domino designer is to use the help feature available with the designer. Just hit F1 when in designer. It will open the help file. Almost 70% of the solutions can be obtained using the help alone.
Additional options would be, to google in the IBM Redbooks section. go to the following location IBM Redbooks
look for domino related redbooks.
I believe that there is a redbook named “Domino 6 A Developers handbook” thats a good one to begin.
Regarding issues related to domino, you can use this forum. Plus try looking the sites www.codestore.net, www.alanlepofsky.net, www.martinscott.com, www.breakingpar.com etc.
And dont forget, google is your great companion in this case too.
