Need Help In $$ViewBody Field

Hi All,I am creating a Web Based application.

I have a Functionality Search.

It has to search and display the search result in my form.

I Used $$SearchTemplate for Viewname form and Inserted $$ViewBody Field In the form to Embed by View to display the search result.

Its dispalying the Search result Properly…

My Problem is,

If I dont have any documents for that search result, then it should display “NO DOCUMENTS FOUND”…but instead its giving me a Blank Page…

Will the $$ViewBody will not give all the functionality of the embedded view??

What should be done to do this???

I tried one more thing , by giving the Hidden fld…

Having one computed value with default value as “documents found” and written The formuls !@isNull($$ViewBody) in the Hide when of the computed value…

But its not working…

It didnt consider the $$ViewBody as filed itself…

Need help to solve this problem…

Thanking you in Advance.

Cheers,

Sam Mathew

You should read “Customizing search forms” in the designer help file.

The “hits” field will help you out.

I actually created a hits field that got populated correctly and was confused that my Javascript populating the field was giving an error message.

The info in the help really made that problem understandable and solved.

Many Thanks for the info.
