Need help in populating the Selected value

Hi,

I am using $$viewtemplate form for a view. In that form we have the functionality that…

  • We have the country field (htmal select field) and GO button.

  • User will selects the country and press GO button , then the respective country documents will load on the page.

My problem is While user selects the country and press GO button the country name should come as heading.

I tried by putting computed text, text field (computed for diplay). But its not appearing on the page.

and also tried with DIV tag. When I selects the country and press GO the page will reload. While reloading the value also changing to null.

Can any one suggest me…

Please help …

  1. Can try to pass the selected country through URL(on Go button), and use Query_String CGI field on the new page you are opening.2. Can store this value in cookie on click of Go button and retreive value of cookie in next plage.

  2. Run an agent on click of Go button and try to set Country Name value to new document/form being opened.

Thanks for your responce.

  1. I can pass through URL but here we using codes (ex: United States, code=US) In url it will display as US.

  2. I will try ur 2nd point.

  3. here Iam using javascript because all this fucntioanality is doing in &&Viewtemplate form. Lotus fields wont work in this form.

Please send all possible ways…
