I need to login to a SQL server and they don’t want me to hard code the login name and password into the program. What is the best way to handle this? I am trying to use a udl file that we created on the server that stores the login and password so it can be changed at anytime and have my program read the file. I have started but can’t find any other information to help me. This is what I have so far:
Dim LC As New LCSession
Dim LCConn As New LCConnection("odbc2")
Dim LCFldLst As New LCFieldList(1)
’ LCConn.SetPropertyConnection = “File Name=c:\temp\patchlinkconnection.udl”
LC.ClearStatus
LCConn.Connect
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
