Need array values to persist

There are several buttons on a document. When a button is clicked, the value of a corresponding element in an array is incremented (LotusScript). I need the values in the array to persist after the document is closed, so that the array can store values accumulated from several users. How can I do this? I’m sure this is an easy question! Thanks for your help.

The only way to store any form of information in a Notes document is in a field (or to be more precise - in an item).

All you need to do is to store that array in a multi-value field when the document is closed and load the array from the field when the document opens.

Alternatively you could scrap the LotusScript array completely and work directly with the field and the elements of the field.

You should look into profile documents. You can have one doc for all users (one per database), and you can store your info there.

NO NO NO NO! DO NOT USE profile documents. How many times does this need to be mentioned here? Profile documents are cached at each PC and are a poor choice to store data that changes. The only way to do it is to use a regular document.
