Hey all,
I’ve been reading some threads about this, but didnt really understand it. Can I change someone else’s out of office agent? i.e. Our CEO left and needs her OOO turned on. Can her secretary turn on her OOO? If so, how can it be done? I opened up her mailfile and don’t see the OOO action.
Thanks

By default, you can not enable someone else OOO.
In the mail file, there is a hide-when formula. She’s not the owner of the mail , so the preference menu is hidden,

Thanks Jean, So the only way for us to turn the OOO agent on is to reset her DWA password or find out her Notes password and turn it on as her, the CEO?

Joseph,You might want to make use of the agent setting “run on behalf of” , that gives you the possibility to enable the agent while the “from” address on any OOO messages is still the name of your CEO - assuming you got admin level access to her mailfile, of course.
Do a search on the notes.net homepage, there is a two-part article about the OOO. Don’t remember exactly but I think the title was something like “demystifying the out of office agent”.
