Need a Quota Usage Meter in 7 Mail File

Hello hope someone can help

We currenty use Notes/Domino 5 and are in the process of upgrading to Notes/Domino 7

Our R5 mail files have a Quota Usage meter

(Currently displayed)

  • The current mail file quota eg: 100mb

  • The amount (in MBs)currently used eg: 44mb

Development is not my strong point but I know the design is considerably between the 2 versions and the display space is also different.

We don’t have any developers at the moment and our organisation requires the Quota meter for the new version.

I found an open source 7 template online which only displays The amount (in MBs)currently used.

I desire for my Notes 7 mail file

  • The current mail file quota eg: 100mb

  • The amount (in MBs)currently used eg: 44mb

Does anyone have a working mail file either 6 or 7 with the above conditions?

I would love advise or code or even a sample template from someone who could helps.

Cheers

There is already one incorporated in the Domino Web Access mail database template [dwa7.ntf]

To display/view the mail file usage indicator, as it is referred to in ND7 documentation, you need only to enable a quota on the mail database.

The mail file usage indicator is visible only under DWA and not in the Notes 7 client.

The mail file usage indiator visibly displays the percentage of the quota used from left to right. Much as the same as portable computer battery usage meter is displayed.

From what I understand, the OpenNTF template (probably the one you mentioned) does include quota usage if the mail file is using a quota. We don’t use quotas, but I am using the OpenNTF mail template. I just looked at the code, and it does, indeed, check for the existence of a quota. If one exists then it should list it. The code is in the calcQuota sub in the OpenNTFLibraryUI script library.
