Navigator pane shrinks for each subsequent opening

In a database the navigatior pane shrinks for each time I open the database.

When the navigator pane is no longer visable it starts again so the first time the database is opened the navigator pane is completely visable.

ODS versin 4.3

On another computer with ODS version 5.2 it is the opposite, the navigator pane expands and the view pane shrinks.

Subject: Navigator pane shrinks

“Are you using a custom navigator or is this the standard navigation pane?”

I don´t know the difference. But I am using a navigator created from “Navigators”, under “Shared Elements”, in the designer client.

It was created several years ago (I think before one could use “Framesets”).
One solution would be to use framesets insted - but it is rather much work to do this since there are very many forms and views in the database.

“I think it was something about the new resolutions & handling introduced in Windows 10 and Surface.”
The shrink problem also applies to Windows 7.

I tried to create a new simple database with a simple navigator and I got the same problem with shrinking.

If so, is this a possible video driver issue?

Subject: I’ve seen something like this but can’t remember if it’s the navigation pane.

Are you using a custom navigator or is this the standard navigation pane?

I’m trying to dredge up what it was. I think I was experimenting with some things that affected the border, and it cropped up.

I think I had to rebuild it by creating a new design element, then sweeping through the design element, copying & pasting or re-entering individual elements that I wanted.

Subject: Aside, there are video drivers in Windows 10 that have been an issue.

I think it was something about the new resolutions & handling introduced in Windows 10 and Surface.
