Names.nsf with Windows Vista

Went from XP to Vista. Moved all the files over from the XP machine with no problem, except I cannot move over the names.nsf or even the bookmark.nsf, looks like it’s copying them over, but when I launch Notes and open the address book nothing is there and bookmarks are not there either. Any help would be appreciated.

The category should be Lotus Notes for some reason I could only get it to accept General.

Did it install Notes as multi-user instead of single-user?

Also, although I have zero experience from Vista, I heard that you should not install Notes under the C:\Program Files directory since Vista seems to do wierd things with programs which are installed under C:\Program Files, but rather under the standard directory C:\Lotus\Notes. I personally install Notes always like under C:\Lotus\Notes7 (I am including the version number, so I can have multiple Notes versions running simultaneously).

I think I can run as many Notes client versions simultaneously as my PC’s memory can handle. There’s really nothing special about having multiple Notes versions on the same PC, just remember to rename the previously installed Notes directories to something else when installing a new Notes version, and start the Notes clients with nlnotes.exe, and not notes.exe.

Thanks for the input. I’ll try that.
