Names.nsf not in ldap

How do I proceed, if I want to query one or more databases via ldap (databases included in directory assistance), but these queries should not deliver any result from names.nsf on the server where ldap runs? names.nsf is not included in the directory assistance database, so I cannot simply remove the “make this domain available to…” flag in da.nsf. If a add an entry in da.nsf for names.nsf, the database is included twice when using “show xdir” on the console.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Subject: Preventing LDAP from serving up entries in names.nsf

Hi Johannes,

Sorry, but you’re kind of stuck. Domino always serves up the names in names.nsf.

One way to get around this is to install a new first server administration server. Cross-certify this new server with your current domain. Leave the new server’s names.nsf empty, but configure its DA to point at your old domain’s directories.

It’s a little kludgey, but it will get you what you want.
