Subject: Similar problem
I am having a similar problem and am at my wits end. We use an external ldap directory that we use to get login names for the users of our websites. In the past I have used a computedfordisplay field with an @nameLookup to find the display name for the received @username and display this on the web page. I have looked in vain for a method to do the same thing using xpages. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as this is pretty much a show stopper for us.

Sorry for a ‘me too’ post but I’d also like to know how to do this. We use it on our Intranet sites to lookup a users employee ID in A.D. and then we can find all sorts of useful info like dept, manager etc etc (from an oracle db…)
