Name: proxydirectoryservername Error: The name to act on was not found in the directory

I cannot enable roaming for one of our users (has worked on other users). I just get a failure in the admin4.nsf. This is still happening even after the upgrade from 8.5.1 to 8.5.2 with latest fix packs.

Name: proxydirectoryservername Error: The name to act on was not found in the directory.

This is not the case. The user is not new and has been operating fine with mail. Any ideas? I think this was encountered once before (earlier version of Domino) and we never enabled the user. There did not seem to be a resolution to the problem. If I remember correctly, the field was missing in database properties. There is zero information on the exact proxy action.

Subject: Please re-run the request.

Would it be possible for you to re-run the request which fails? I’ve seen a situation where this error was reported but a subsequent execution of the request was successful. I was unable to isolate any difference to the person document and believed the situation to be a problem in my development and test environment.

You probably already know this, but to re-run a request, edit the response document for the request, check the “Perform request again” option
