question is regarding coexistance between Domino and Exchange and receipient format when sending from Domino. Here is scenario, let say user Joe Smith used to was a Domino/Notes user now he is an Exchange user both email systems are coexisting and managing same domain name all works well with exceptions that most people have in their personal contact list or recent contact list entry for this user in following format “Joe Smith/DominoDomain” and if they send email to this receipient Notes will fill in TO or CC field as “Joe Smith/DominoDomain” from contacts by doing lookup and Domino router realized that mailbox for this person no longer exist on Domino and forwards it to Smart Host which is an Exchange server, but Exchange server is expecting receipient in format of jsmith@domain.com not “Joe_Smith/DominoDomain@domain.com” which is how Domino structure this email before sends it out to exchange. Is there a way to tell Domino to lookup Domino Directory for “Joe Smith/DominoDomain” and use Internet email found in Person Doc?
Person Doc for such user is in following format:
Firsta Name: Joe
Last Name: Smith
User Name: jsmith@domain.com
Short Name: jsmith@domain.com
Mail system: Other Internet Mail
Internet address: jsmith@domain.com
Tried to add “Joe Smith/DominoDomain” and “Joe_Smith/DominoDomain” to both short name and User name as additional entries but no luck
