Hi All,We have 3 Notes servers, their NABs replicating changes etc between them.
Some users have their own version of the NAB on laptops (foolish I know - long story). The fun starts if the users replicate their own version with the server NABs.
Question: Is there anyway to restrict what NABs the server based NABs replicate with? So that the 3 server based NABs will ignore any replication requests from laptop based NABs… Just keep Replication in the family of 3…?
Sorry if this is an easy question to answer, we dont get Admin training here… just muddle along…grumble grumble…
In the ACL you can deslect “Replicate or copy documents” for the group that allows access to your users. Careful though, I’ve read some posts that there are some buggy side effects with this in some versions. You may want to do spome research and testing before implementing in production.
It may be beause it’s Monday, but I don’t really see your problem here.
When you say “The fun starts if the users replicate their own version with the server NABs” do you mean that your users are messing up the server based NABs by replicating any changes they made locally?
If so, that’s easy to fix. Just make sure that your users have - at most - author access to the NAB.
Users with local replicas of the NAB are NOT a problem. When they have Editor (or higher) access, then it becomes a problem.
