Hi,
for some time now some of the clients (Notes Clients) is suffering very slow (or none!) connection to our Domino server (connection timeout). It affects clients that are connected to the server via a slower communication.
When it happens, other applications within our network (not domino) and even on the same server easily can be accessed, and the server appears not to have any load problems at all!
It usually appears when the client has been “in active” for some time or during a to-client-from-server replication.
The server is a 6.5.1. I have recently upgraded it to 6.5.4 (and it was then the problem started to appear, so I have now downgraded the server back to 6.5.1. (looooser)
I have changed the complete hardware to a new server.
Affected clients are a mix of 6.5.1 to 6.5.4.
