Mysterious Friday Compact!

Hi,

This has me flummoxed.

Customer has Domino R6.5.5 running on Windows NT. Every Friday at 12 noon, all of the mail files are compacted. So far I have checked :

  • Program Documents in DD

  • NOTES.INI ServerAT Parameters

  • Windows NT Scheduler

  • Checked server for any other scheduling programs

  • Domino anti-virus software

There are no clues in the log. It just says “Compacting mail\username.nsf”

It’s a mystery !

Steven,if you say you checked Program Documents in DD, it might be that there is a program doc but you can’t see it because it might have reader restrictions…

Did you try a “sh sched” on the server console ? That should show you a scheduled program doc anyway.
