Muti-user install

Hi all,

When i install the *french" Lotus Notes Client CD on my XP Pro PC in a normal way (that is no multi-user install), it’s installed in french.

When i do on a Win2k Terminal Server system with the same CD a multi-user install… i get the Notes Client in english.

Does anybody had the same pb ?

Subject: Muti-user install

Just did a normal install with the same french Notes Client CD on the Win2k TS system… and get an english client version. ?!The WinK TS Server is french.

Any ideas ?

Me again.Tried to add UserInterface=fr… but still in english.

I think it has something with TS to do.

Hi

You have to insert the UserInterface=fr in the buttom of your notes.ini which you have done and copy the following file (mui.dat) from C:\lotus\notes\mui (from a working client) to the client which does not work. This should solve it.

Hi Kim,

Thanks for the Tip. It works… for the first advertising screen when you launch Notes. It’s french, but then when it asks for the pwd, all is english again.

I found the MUI.DAT in the C:\Winnt\system32 dir (must say that its’ on a WIN2K TS Server, and that seems to be a big difference). I copied it to C:\Lotus\Notes\mui as you advice.

I’ve built a brand new french Win2K SP4 on vmware with only Notes. It’s a Terminal Server, with Notes R5 installed in the shared way and i try to find the right way to upgrade to ND6 french client.

Me-again,

Found the solution for my french language pb.

The MUI.DAT file didn’t contain the MUI info: Added:

[MUI]

Languages=1

Language1=fr

Can I use this to have a multilingual terminal server Notes client?

Have any of you tried this?

Thanks
