I have a multi value text field where I dont want to let users add more than 200 characters. They want it to appear as a text box on the web. My problem is that MaxLength=5000 in html attributes or under html style or other tag does not work. It works for only a text field but that is just a one line text field. The text field also shows up as a box, but if its not multi value every information shows up in the first line. Is there a way to do it.
In my case:
In html attributes I have
“MaxLength=200”
And in the style under html tab
Width=400;Height=50
If not in a text value is it possible in a rich text field.

I have a similar request except they want to add a bunch of 10 digit codes. Originally I just used a javascript pop up for one code at a time but I found out later that they could enter dozens if not a couple of hundred codes in this manner. So now I’m looking for an alternative method too. Perhaps AJAX or a seperate form… anyway in case my original attempt could help you, I’ll post the javascript below that I used in a button to do a pop up.
