Multiple rows of buttons on the view action bar?

I have a view in which I have fourteen actions defined. I would like to have a button for each on the action bar but I don’t like all the scrolling. Is there a way to have buttons show up on the action bar in multiple rows so that I don’t have to scroll at all? This is a Notes only application so I don’t have to worry at all about any kind of web interface.

You can create actions with ‘sub-action’ which will then show as a pull down list.

Use the function for in in your designer : Create - Action - Action with sub action.

You then get a main action that does nothing and ‘below it’ you may insert sub-actions. Settings enable you to choose the behaviour of the menu.

This way you may re-group action buttons is some logical way and reduce the need to scroll to the right.

Subject: Thanks

Looks like the user is going to be happy with the actions on the dropdown menus. Thanks for your help.

Subject: submenu management

Hi,I just wanted to let you know that the free version of Ytria actionBarEZ gives you a sort of visual ‘road map’ of all the actions and sub-menus in a database. I thought you might find this handy as it looks like you’re dealing with views with a lot of actions.

Good luck,

Peter
