Hi All,
I have a 2nd id file on my machine, i am able to log into this mail but when i click the mail button, the following message ids displayed:
YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZEDTO ACCESS THIS DATABASE.
Is 6.5 able to handle multiple id files on one machine? If so, would someone be able to asist me to fix this? I have admin access to NOTES SERVER.

Subject: Multiple notes id on 1 machine
You can create a new location in your personal address book, attach the 2nd ID file on the document then save and close the document.
Then, open your default location document and attach the 1st ID file on the document, then save and close the document.
Now, to switch ID’s, you can click the location setting selection menu (in the bottom right of the Notes panel), which will let you switch ID’s.
On another subject, you only have the access that is granted to the person holding the ID file. And, the ID that you are using for that specific session is the ID, thus security levels, that you will be granted.
Subject: It’s because of the location document
The mail links are determined by settings in the location document. So when you switch to a different ID, without also switching locations, the links point to a mail file you cannot acccess.
You should be able to open the mail file manually using File/Database/Open.
On my system, I have one location document for each id that I use, with each location document specifying the mail file to be used, as well as the id to use. That way when I switch locations, it automatically switches to the appropriate id and mail file link.
