Multiple Message Disclaimers

I need something to add Disclaimer text to outbound emails based on person’s membership in groups (ie, if person is a member of GroupA, they would get a Disclaimer A, if member of GroupB, Disclaimer B etc). We are currently on ND6.5x and can’t use the policy based Disclaimers available in ND7 due to other restrictions.

Do you know of any product which can do this and also work with Trend’s Scanmail for Domino or other antivirus product?

iQsuite (from Group Technologies) is one such product, which is pretty expensive for a small company of few hundred users.

Hi Johnin fact you can realize multiple Disclaimer based on group membership by using Scanmail for Domino (available from version 3.0).

In your server policy, create for each recipient group a dedicated Rule - use the Disclaimer tab.

Use prio to make sure the rule is applied for the respective groupmember, also activate the VirusScan for this rule.

HiNo idea if this will work with your anti-virus s/w, but what I’ve done for our company is:

Create a database with disclaimers for the various OU1 and OU2s.

Create a new view on your names.nsf, which is sorted by outgoing email addresses.

Add a computed Disclaimer field below the Body field in the mail.box:

Firstly lookup the ‘From’ field against your new names.nsf view - remember that the ‘From’ is now in the form name@company

Then select the OU2/OU1 part of the name and do a @dblookup against your Disclaimer database.

It works for us
