Multiple Location and Mail databases

I have users who use a different database for Customer communication. They create a location document that refers to that email user id. When they try to switch locations, they choose that location, it prompts for a password and then it prompts them for the location again. Once they get that database open and want to go back to their main email database, they have to use the File-Security-Switch id as their location doc has disappeared from the bottom. This used to work for them in R5. Is there anything I can do?

This should still work. Check out the ACL of the names.nsf. The locations are stored in there so sounds like a problem with the IDs accessing it.

Okay, I tried that and it is doing the same thing. It does work eventually, it just isn’t as seamless as it used to be. When you choose the other location from your bottom status bar, it prompts you for a password. That is correct.

Then it brings up a box with the documents other than your main one. So you choose the one you provided a password for. It then opens that mail db.

Now if you look in your location area in the status bar, your Office (Network) location doesn’t show.

Is that normal in R6?
