Multiple Internet Names

I want a user to receive mail from several Internet addresses within the same domain. Example joebloggs@acme.com, sales@acme.com, info@acme.com

I have seen conflicting information on where to store these alternate internet addresses. Where is the best place to set these addresses in the person document? How do I set the primary address (the reply address)?

Any help would be appreciated.

It depends on how your server is setup to resolve internet addresses - LocalPart or FullName? If set to FullName add the complete addt’l internet addresses to the list of names in the FullName field. If LocalPart you can add the local part of the addresses to the ShortName field as such:

joebloggs

sales

info

Hi, my preference is to set the primary address in the “Internet Address” field.

Other addresses are added to the ‘Short name/UserID’ field.

I have two questions to ask you back.

1- Do these sales & info account have separate ID?

2- Do these sales & info have multiple users accessing it?

If it is the first, just give the user the ID and he can access this sales@acme.com or info@acme.com

for the second question: try creating a mail-in database

Subject: RE: Multiple Internet Names

Hi

I don’t want the sales and info to have separate IDs (or any ID - just an ID for the main user). These are strictly mail alias names.

There will only be one person accessing these names.

Appreciate your help
