Multiple Global Domain Documents

I have a Domino Server with one Global Domain Document to receive mail for several mail domains. This was working fine.But the alternate Internet Domains are growing and now I want to split the Alternate Internet Domains in several Global Domain documents, each specifying an Alternate Internet Domain.

The first (and till now: only) Global Domain Document has a Local Primary Internet Domain specified (Tab: Conversions).

How should I organise the extra Global Domain Documents: that is: What have I to specify in the field “Local Primary Internet Domain” in the extra Global Domain Documents?

I have read the Admin help but that is not clear enough to me.

It works a bit different if you split your global domain doc into several docs.

Alternate internet domains are automatically used as replacements for the primary internet domain in e-mail addresses. This will stop working if you split the document into several. Personally, I like it better that way.

Also be aware that Domino will use the first global domain doc it finds (alphabetically) to identify itself to other SMTP servers, so you need to plan for that.
