Multiple email addresses per user

I have a user that had an old email address printed on business cards but his current email address is different.

I want to forward this old email address to his current email. Both emails are the same domain and I’ve attempted to edit the server rules to forward this old email address but when I attempt to email to the old address it fails saying there is no user specified in the domino directory.

Is there a way to specify multiple email address per user? If so how?

I’ve tried setting multilple internet addresses but I couldn’t get that to work either.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think you can just add the old internet address to the shortname/userid field and the mail will get delivered to the user.

Just put the old interent address at the end of the user name field. (this assumes that the DNS name is the same and/or your Global Domain doc allows the old name as an alternate)

Joe Doaks/XYZ/IBM

jdoaksold@name.com

and in the interent address field just have his current “new” address jdoaksnew@name.com.

Also make sure you remove the old interent address from any other person doc he may have…better yet…remove the old person doc.
