Multilanguage default forms

Hi,

can anyone tell me how to define multiple default forms in a multilanguage database e.g. one default form for each language?

cheers

Subject: Multilanguage default forms

The fact that I did not get a single answer to this simple questions means that it is not possible to define multiple default forms in a multilanguage database.

The reason why I asked is that our mail template is multilanguage. No matter what I do, only one language can have a default form.

When a user sends a request for recertification (“My notes ID is atteched, please…”, this mail is auto-generated by notes) I can’t open the document unless I have a default form in my database.

Also, the user cannot open the response he gets from me (the admin) because this (also auto-generated) response e-mail again does not have a Form field.

If you ask me, this is a misconception! You must be allowed to define one default form per language!

Please guys, fix this!

Hi Christian,

I got your point, and will suggest you to maintain folder kind of structure for each language base, and then that way you can acheive what you are looking for. You can use Domino global workbench for translation to multiple languages. so its easy to maintain as well. change in one language and then translate, simple.

i hope this will help.

Hi abhishek,

I understand what you mean, but in my particular case I’m not developing the multilanguage databases myself. I just ran into this on the standard DWA7 template which I got from IBM and wanted to share my thoughts…
