Recently installed Notes 6.0.3. I’m trying to set this people as roaming. They are set as roaming in the domino directory.
However, i cannot get the roaming aspect to function. When people swap seats, the only way i can get them to function is to edit the location document and change the mail file details.
From previous experience with 6.0.1, on install it asks if it is to be a ‘multi person’ install. There is no prompt during the 6.0.3 install.
What have i missed to get 6.0.3 to work with multiple users

It is the same with later versions eg 6.5.1There are two Client CD’s, one with Designer, Administrator and the Notes Client on (without the multi-user install option) and a seperate CD with just the Notes Client which DOES have the multi-user option. You need this CD. You can download it from the Lotus passport site if you need to.

Thanks Steve I’ll give it a try (Fingers Crossed)

I also looked at the new R6 Roaming feature but decided against it. Problem with it is that once it is setup (Multi-user client, Roaming User setup in Domino Admin when they are registered) everytime a user moves seats they are prompted to set the client up before they can use Notes. Its not a good solution. We setup Notes so that the users data directory containing the notes ID, names.nsf, notes.ini etc etc is stored on the users home drive on the network. This way when they swap seats all they do is logon to their NT account and start to use Notes. A better Roaming solution.

Can you elaborate on how to do this? This seems like a much better solution for our specific application.
I’ve tried several options, but it seems like notes is still trying to use C:\Documents and Settins{username}\Local Settings.… rather than %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%\Lotus or in our users case I:\Lotus
