Multi-user clean up Service

We have benn having some performance issues on our new machines. I checked the system logs on the PC’s and found a meesage “The Multi-user Cleanup Service service entered the Running State”. This message appears in the system log every 5 seconds. Why is it starting it? Why is is starting it every 5 seconds? We are not using the cleanup feature at all for any of our users or machines. Also we have it installed on our ghost image is this a possible problem.
