Our company use the Domino 5.05(Windows 2k) and Notes 5.05(Windows 98/2000/XP) as our email environment.Since we would plan to upgrade to Domino 6 and Notes 6.So,we try to upgrade one user notes from 5.05 to 6.01.After that,we found all portuguese character and some traditional chinese character can not diplayed propely.The portuguese character would become the english character and the traditional chinese character would become some symbol like -.Since we are doing the upgrade process,the notes configuration is keep as the pervious version.We would like to know why the multi-language can not diplayed propely like the older notes version 5.05 did and if there were anyway could fix this problem.Thanks for any suggestion.

I have problem as well, what we did is change the fonts in the Notes Client. Just change the Default Sans Serif font to 細明體. Then it’ll work, it not you can change the region in your OS to China inorder to view Chinese characters.
