I encounter the above error when I added a member in the Deny List Group & try to save the update.
Please advise on this issue.

It is because your group contains to many entries. It exceeds the limit for fields.
You must split the group into sub groups like
deny_subgroup1
deny_subgroup2
…
and put your users into these groups.
Your present deny group then should contain :
deny_subgroup1
deny_subgroup2
…
