MS Word in Domino WebDAV

When I access a MS Word document in a domino database,the document is opened readonly,the webdav client I used is Windows Explorer for windows 2000.If I access a html file with Dreamweaver MX,it works correctly.Does anyone else has met such problem,and how did you resolve it?Thank you.

Subject: Similar Situation with Excel

I notice similar problem when I try to use WebDAV with Excel. I have try XMLSpy and another WebDAV editor (jEdit) and it seems to be OK.

In the case of Excel,

  1. The WebDAV files was unlocked to start with.

  2. When being access by Excel, it opens a read only copy.

  3. Even when I close Excel, the WebDAV files remain locked.

By the way, for those interested, I am using Office XP.
