MS Outlook to Lotus Notes Mail

Just did a test using the interface developed by Microsoft to access Lotus Notes Mail. What we are seeing is that the Outlook Mail Client is much, much faster than the Notes Mail Client. Sorry Lotus, I’ve been doing Notes since 1993 and seeing this is amazing and that the Notes client is so HEAVY and slow is disappointing.

So, just using Mail, use the Outlook Mail client to the Domino server, otherwise Notes or Browser… Just my thought on it is all.

Did you have no mails in the account?

Were you using POP3 and SMTP or the Lotus Notes Connector.

I can tell you from extensive use, the MS Outlook connector is NOT faster than Native notes.

I’d be interested in knowing more details about how you tested, versions, server size, memory on client, OS version etc. etc.
