Since upgrading to release 8.0.2, our clients are having trouble editing, viewing, and creating documents from databases that have been created with the “Microsoft Office Library”.I have found this link that explains the problem if we use Notes Standard:

If I use Notes Basic, then not all editing functions work for the MS Word documents. I have found one post that suggest using the switch “-a” to execute BASIC notes. I have tried that and it seems to fix one user, but not the next. We have modified the notes.ini file with “UseBasicNotes=1” to get the basic version to launch, but now I question if that is why we are having such problems with the “OLE” objects.
So my question is, should I expect my databases to work properly with anything that was created from the following templates: StdR50DocLib, StdR6Doclib, StdR7DocLib. We have many MS Word documents that are created in these databases and the functionality we are getting with Notes 8.0.2 is not very pretty.
