We continue to have problems with documents created from the MS Office Template(7) with our Notes Clients. The users are using “Basic Notes”, invoked by “UseBasicNotes=1” in the notes.ini file. I have finally figured out that if the user has MSWORD open on the desktop BEFORE opening the Lotus document which was created from the MS Office Template, then the MS Word functions as normal. This is crazy…
So instructions to users, if you are going to use Lotus documents created from the MS Office template, you need to FIRST open up MS Word outside of Lotus, minimize (forget you even opened it) and then go to the Lotus documents and proceed.
I have posted a question concerning this problem and received no response. I’m trying to determine if our organization is the only one in the Lotus world who tries to mix MS Office with Lotus??
