MS Office 2003 apps crashes when working from within Lotus Notes client

some users reports that MS word, excel, ppt apps are crashing with typical win error saying that app encountared a problem and needs to close while they edit and work with document that was received as attachmant in LN. So other words they edit MS doc directly from email which cause MS Office app crash, where if they save and open same doc outside of LN client all works fine… I know we could tell them to do so but it is work around not a solution, any idea besides clean temp dir, and reinstall MS Office?

I am using Notes client 7.0.2 with MS Office 2003 and have no problems invoking Word or Excel from an mail-message with an attachment.

Perhaps the installation of MS Office was not done correctly.
