Hi,
I have a problem moving user from one certifier to another. I have two domino domains (/A and /B). Those domains are cross-certified. I have users which I have to move from /A to /B certifier, so their name should change from User/A to User/B.
I have done everything by the manual “Moving a user name in the name hierarchy”, I choose persons from people view, select “Rename” form menu, choose “Request move to new certifier”, give old certifier, but when I choose new certifier I get error message “Error locating a Domino Directory entry for certifier /B”.
Cross-certification is done, so what is the problem?

Do you have two domains (different, non-replicating directories) AND two organizations (different org level certifiers)?
The rename process looks in the directory for the certifier document that was created when you created or registered the new certifier. In the admin client check Configuration\Certificates\Certificates\Notes Certificates. All of the certificate documents should be there. If you are missing one you can just create a new certificate document (“Add Certifier”)and copy the public key from the cert id and paste it into the new certificate document in the certified public key field.

Yes, two different domains with non-replicating directories.
Certicates are in placed. I have done cross-certification and also “Configuration\Certificates\Certificates\Notes Certificate” contains certification document with public key from another domain, so it should be … okay ?
Also, when the “Rename” functionality ask for new certifier, the selection list is empty, so admin client does not found the certification document? If i write manually /B then i get the error described in my earlier message.

Well, I get it work. Actually I did had cross-certification between /A and /B as I told, but it is not enough. Cross-certification document is a different type of certification document (type and form has value “CrossCertification”). Manual says that domains must be cross-certified, nothing else. As soon as I inserted “Notes Certificate” for /B, then it start working. Notes Certifiate is different type (type and form of document have value “Certificate”).
Interesting … because cross-certification does not create notes certificate document automaticly, only notes cross-certificate document.
