My company want to move there domino/notes off an iSeries to a Windows server (probably 2003). Also at the same time upgrade from R6 to R7.
Please advise best steps for this to happen.

The way I would do this is:
I would create a new Domino server in the same domain where you have your I server and Domino running. This new server will be running on Windows 2003, and Domino 7.X. then I would cluster”Copy all I/series databases to the new server” the two servers, Deny access to the new 2003 server by users.
Once you are satisfy that your db on the new 2003/Domino server are all in sync , shut down your I/series server and copy the all server id, copy it the new 2003 server, rename the server to the old server name if you want this, assign the correct network setting and you should be ready to go.
