Move to Folder and document locking

Hi,

I hope someone can help here. I have a group of users who are sharing a common mailbox (basically a customer support mailbox for external enquiries). This database has document locking enabled.

If, for example, someone opens the top document in the view and someone else opens the next document in the view - when the person tries to ‘Move To Folder’ the first document while it is open, the second ‘locked’ document will load but then the machine will hang from anything between 10 seconds to a number of minutes (the latter being the norm).

If the first document is moved using ‘Move to Folder’ using the buttons from the view, it works fine.

So - to summarize my actions…

  1. Open top document in view

  2. someone opens 2nd document (to lock it)

  3. 1st person uses Folder\Move to Folder button

  4. Select Folder to move to

  5. document disappears as though it’s moved, next document in view loads but hangs the machine - eventually giving a document locked warning normally after a few minutes.

Just to let you know, I’ve changed the move to folder code to open up in a view after the move rather than the next document and it works ok - it’d just be nice to have it working the other way
